Week 19

We are finishing up our unit on the human body and our five senses.  Today we talked about sight.  We read a book that taught about the different parts of the eye, the kids saw a diagram pointing out the cornea, pupil, and iris.  We talked about how we each have slightly different colored eyes!  We went around and noticed everyone else's eye color.  We also did a letter review of E-J.  The kids are still learning to form and identify each letter.  Our craft today was making eye portraits. The kids had to listen carefully to color just the iris of the eye.  It was difficult for some to figure our how to create a whole face around the eyes, but they all turned out cute and unique!  Thanks for rescheduling our Thursday preschool!  I will send out a reminder email about our make up day on Friday the 10th.
