Monday 3-I Can Be Happy
We started with playdough at the table as friends
arrived. We did our usual morning
routine but added some fun Halloween songs!
We are learning the “Skeleton Song” and “Five little Pumpkins”. We read “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” and talked
about how even though he kept falling down, he didn’t complain and he tried
again and again. When he stuck with it
he accomplished his goal! We practiced
writing lowercase A on the whiteboard and thinking of the things that begin
with the “Ah” sound. We also found that
all the boys have A’s in their name but none of the girls do! We did our worksheet about the color orange
and made spooky spiders to decorate for Halloween.
Wednesday-I’m King of Me
We gathered with playdough and did calendar and
weather. We are still doing Halloween songs
and will add a few more during the month.
We talked about triangles, how many sides and corners. I taped a large
string triangle to the ground and we walked around it, jumped around it, and
sat down and passed a ball while sitting on it.
We read the book Peter Rabbit and talked about how Peter chose to go into the garden, even
though his mom said no, and then he had sad consequences. We can chose how we behave, when we do good
things, usually there are positive consequences. We practiced uppercase B on the white
board. We did a letter b worksheet and a
color worksheet. We also did songs and
our crown craft. We talked about how a kind decides what happens in a kingdom,
and we are kings of our own selves!
