Week 10- November

Last Thursday we started our new unit "I am thankful"  On Thursday we talked about being thankful for our bodies, today we talked about being thankful for our families.  I showed them a picture of my family and we talked about the different roles each person play and how important they all are.  We also worked a lot on math today.  We did bubblegum math and really focused on making different combinations of numbers to equal 5.  You can see from the picture each kid contributed a color and we counted each row to make 5.  We also did a math practice sheet for snack. The kids filled in a worksheet of numbers with corresponding circles with cheerios.  It was good practice for one-to-one ratio counting.  We also celebrated Tait's birthday today!  He brought in a treat to share and we played birthday bowling.  The kids all signed their name on a card for him.  It was a great day!

Thursday: Today we talked a lot about fall we read fall books and made hand paintings.  The kids practiced the stipple painting technique.  They had to make dots instead of brush strokes.  They did a great job.  It was also Caleb's birthday.  He brought in treats and we had another round of birthday bowling!
