Welcome to Montessori Busy Bees

General Preschool Information

I teach preschool in a dedicated space in my home twice a week.  I am currently enrolling 2-4 year olds for the 2016 school year.  Scheduling will follow the Lindbergh School District Academic Calendar.
Start Date is September 6, 2016

Hours: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Tuesday and Thursday

Curriculum:

I teach from the “Busy Bees*” curriculum which focuses on character values and readying students for kindergarten.  Each lesson focuses on a letter, shape, and color.

I believe that fun and rich literature is key to developing a love of learning. Storytelling and reading is a primary focus of each lesson.

Socialization is also very important in being ready for school.  Students will build skills in how to be a friend, be kind, share, and work together.

I also incorporate Montessori style stations that help students learn through exploration and play.  I believe that children learn best through hands on experiences and by observing and discovering for themselves.  Each week students explore three stations: a science station, a letter and word recognition station, and a fine motor skill station.

Preschool Objectives:

Each child will:
-Develop skills in listening to, comprehending, and retelling stories.
-Learn to recognize and spell their name.
-Build sight and sound recognition in all letters.
-Develop fine motor skills like cutting, sorting, and gluing.
-Develop pre-writing skills by using crayons and practicing letter and shape formation.
-Build skill in following directions, raising their hand to speak, and asking questions.

Tuition:

$90.00 per month

$150.00 per month for sibling groups
(plus a one time $40 supply fee)
